Chrysalis Tours Pte Ltd – Website Terms & Conditions

Welcome to Chrysalis Tours. These Terms & Conditions apply to all bookings made through our website. By completing a booking or making a payment online, you agree to the following terms. Please read them carefully.

1. Booking & Confirmation

1.1 Provisional Bookings

All bookings are provisional until payment is received. Confirmation will be sent via email or WhatsApp once your payment (full or deposit) is successfully processed.

1.2 Minimum Group Requirements

Some group tours require a minimum number of participants. If not met, Chrysalis Tours reserves the right to postpone, cancel, or combine departures. A full refund or suitable alternative will be offered.

 

2. Payment Policy

2.1 Payment Models

● We offer two types of payment depending on the type of service:

● Full Payment is required for lower-value services such as:

● Day tours or one-day excursions

● Attraction tickets

● Airport transfers or charter transport

● Flight-only services

● Deposit-Based Payment applies to higher-value or longer-duration services such as:

● Overseas or multi-day travel packages

● Customized private tours

● Deposits are usually split into 30%-30%-40%, unless otherwise stated.

2.2 Coupon-Based Deposit Payments

For qualifying bookings, you may use a coupon code at checkout to pay the initial deposit only. Details about the deposit structure will be displayed on the tour page and confirmed by our team.

2.3 Balance Payment Schedule

You will receive payment reminders for upcoming instalments via WhatsApp or email. All payments must be completed according to the agreed schedule to avoid cancellation.

2.4 Late or Non-Payment

Failure to pay by the specified deadlines may result in cancellation of the booking and forfeiture of prior payments made.

 

3. Amendments & Changes

3.1 Changes by Customer

Amendments after booking confirmation may incur additional fees or charges from suppliers (e.g., hotels, transport providers). All requests must be submitted in writing.

3.2 Changes by Chrysalis Tours

We reserve the right to amend the itinerary due to weather, operational issues, or supplier availability. Where necessary, equivalent or improved alternatives will be arranged.

 

4. Cancellations & Refunds

4.1 Customer Cancellations

● Cancellation requests must be submitted in writing. Refunds (if any) are subject to the deduction of:

● Non-refundable deposits

● Third-party supplier penalties

● Administrative and processing fees

● Unless otherwise specified, deposits are non-refundable.

4.2 Tour Cancellations by Operator or Suppliers

If a tour is cancelled by Chrysalis Tours due to low participation, unforeseen issues, or supplier cancellations, customers will be offered:

● A full refund, or

● An alternative date or package of equal value

 

5. Service-Specific Policies

5.1 Custom Trip Planning

A non-refundable planning fee may apply. Once confirmed, the trip follows our standard payment and cancellation policies.

5.2 Day Tours & One-Day Excursions

Full payment is required at the time of booking. No refunds will be provided for no-shows or late arrivals. Activities may be adjusted due to attraction closures or weather.

5.3 Private Transfers & Charter Services

Rates are based on agreed duration and group size. Additional charges apply for waiting time, route changes, or service extensions not pre-arranged.

 

6. Customer Responsibilities

6.1 Insurance

Travel insurance is strongly recommended for all bookings. Coverage should include trip cancellations, medical emergencies, personal liability, and loss of belongings.

6.2 Conduct

All travelers are expected to behave respectfully and follow local laws and customs. Chrysalis Tours reserves the right to remove any participant who behaves in a disruptive or unsafe manner. No refunds will be issued in such cases.

6.3 Personal Belongings

Travelers are responsible for their own personal items. Chrysalis Tours is not liable for lost, damaged, or stolen belongings.

 

7. Force Majeure

Chrysalis Tours shall not be held liable for any failure or delay in service due to circumstances beyond our control, including but not limited to:

● Natural disasters or extreme weather

● Public health crises or pandemics

● Acts of war, terrorism, Civil unrest

● Government restrictions or travel bans

● Disruptions in transportation or supplier services

● In such cases, we will make all reasonable efforts to:

● Offer alternative travel dates or services

● Provide partial refunds, minus unrecoverable third-party costs

● We strongly recommend purchasing travel insurance that includes Force Majeure coverage.

 

8. Liability Disclaimer

Chrysalis Tours acts only as an intermediary between you and third-party providers such as hotels, transport operators, and attractions. We are not liable for:

● Injury, loss, delay, or damage caused by any third party

● Service interruptions outside of our direct control

● Accidents or incidents occurring during the course of travel

 

9. Dispute Resolution

These Terms & Conditions shall be governed by and interpreted in accordance with the laws of the Republic of Singapore.

● In the event of a dispute:

● Both parties agree to resolve the matter through good-faith discussion.

● If unresolved, both parties agree to engage in mediation under Singapore law.

● If mediation fails, the dispute will be submitted to the exclusive jurisdiction of the Singapore courts.

 

10. Agreement to Terms

By booking or making a payment on our website, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agreed to these Terms & Conditions. Chrysalis Tours reserves the right to update these terms at any time. Updates will be published on this page.
